The night was beautiful.  The stars sparkled in the night sky, glistening a speck of hope for those below.  And as I looked around I realized that the troops were restless and I sensed tension in the air as I stood at front, my aura acting as a beacon of faint hope that maybe this shall be our night.  I let loose a soft sight as I tapped unto my comlink and uttering, “Black-ops, status report.”

A soft female voice came from the other line saying, “Accretian Chip Core is packed ma’m.  Estimated head-count, more than a hundred troops strong.  I am unable to approach any further.”  As soon as this report was provided another voice, this time a male’s voice, reported in a soft yet clear voice, “North barricades are full of traps ma’m.  We’re trying to remove as much as we can without being detected.”

“Stay hidden.  They will try to sniff you out so move and secure new spots if detected,” I spoke with a stern voice before breaking communication.  Its only a matter time now until the crag war officially begins.  “All troops, hold your ground at the south barricades!” I roared to the whole race, raising my shield in a sign of defiance against any who would try break our formation.  “And so it begins,” I whispered to myself, standing firm side by side with the Bellato troops.

“Accretian strike force moving towards Cora Chip Core direction,” a male black-ops agent reported via comlink.  I communicated this intel to fellow racial councils and I activated a scanner to verify the Accretian movement and true enough the enemy movement was clear.  They were indeed going towards the direction of CCC but the sheer number of the Accretians defending ACC amused me.  They were twice our numbers and yet this did not bother me or any of the Bellato councils.  We have been through worse and I am the Demon Baroness.  In the past, for five solid months, I have held both enemy races by the throat!  And the times may change and the weapons of war may change, but the war… it shall always be the same.

“They are luring us to CCC,” I communicated to the other councils.  The Archon nodded and the other Bellato racial councils agreed.  “They are weakening the Corite Chip Core so we shall be lured to attack it.  When we do this, they will march all their forces towards our chip core without any hesitation,” a female Bellato racial council said.  “Indeed,” I responded and I glanced at our troops as they waited for further commands.  “If they damage the Corite Chip Core up to half then we send in our strike team,” I said in a stern voice and glanced at my scanner as the other racial councils got the Bellato strike force ready.

The Core Chip Core dropped to half fast and lead by an armored rider racial council, the Bellato strike team teleported to CCC and they helped damage the chipped energy core.  “The Accretian archon issued their strike team to stop hitting CCC,” the Bellato archon whispered via comlink and I kept my eyes on my scanner as I responded, “Keep our strike team hitting that chip and order the rest of the Bellato troops to strategic point P15.”  One of the other racial councils roared to the race to advance to strategic point P15, and in a massive march the Bellato army marched towards the given strategic position.  As soon as we arrived at the given strategic spot, the Cora Chip Core was breaking down and it came as no surprise that the Accretian council ordered all their troops to do a massive march towards the Bellato Chip Core.  It was a trap but we were ready.  “All Bellato march to CCC now!  All on the chip!” the Bellato racial councils roared to the whole race in unison and the sound of solid march, engines and jetpacks roared in the night air.  We shall not be denied.

“Break that chip fast!” the Bellato archon roared as the rest of the race marched down the tunnels towards the south barricades of the Cora Chip Core.  The chip was breaking fast and the Accretian councils ordered their troops to port back and march directly to CCC.  Now is our chance.  “Break it fast!  Endure!” another Bellato racial council roared as a series of nukes fell from the sky.  The night sky flashed in a mesmerizing glow with each explotion and I shed a tear as the beauty overwhelmed me.  I did a steady march, acting as a beacon for the troops and I made sure that the racial buffs granted them the might and hope to win this even if the odds were against us.  And just like that, it was over.  The Bellato had won and the whole race roared in joy as we achieved a win we so deserved for so long.

But it was not yet over.  We needed to defend the Halo Stone Keeper.  I grabbed a radiation pill and swallowed it before running towards the Bellato HQ portal uttering commands that the Bellato march to the core at once.  The Bellato Archon and three two other racial councils teleported to the core and they began killing all non-Bellato inside the core.  “All reinforcements march towards coordinates 55,55!” I roared to the whole race and as soon as I reached the said coordinates the battle was already fierce.  A great number of Accretian troops rained down the ramp and with only a handful of Bellato troops I ordered the troops to remain firm and defend the area.  The other Bellato councils were also in an intense situation of their own as Accretians thee times their numbers were pushing down the core tunnels.  “Stay firm.  Nobody shall harm the Halo Stone Keeper this night!  Hold your ground!” I roared to the whole race and the other Bellato racial councils answered with commands to push the tansans up the core tunnel.

The Accretians ordered a regroup at the top of the ramp and us time to push the Bellato reinforcements towards the core barricades.  “Sandwich them!” the Bellato archon roared and as the troops let loose their inner hatred upon our foes, the Accretians knew that even with their numbers they were no match to the Bellato’s determination.  One by one the massive number of tansans fell and soon enough the ground was filled with the broken shells of Accretian troops.

Before we could take a breather, the Accretian forces launched their reinforcement troops down the ramps and soon enough they were already at the core barricades.  Hold.  Stay firm.  Only our enemies shall die this night.  The Accretian forces began overwhelming us with sheer numbers and the troops were battered, tired yet we cannot falter, not when we have worked so hard for this win.  As I uttered another order to boost the troops morale, everything went black.

A few seconds later I woke up at the Bellato HQ and though I was wounded, I knew that I… we, carried the whole race on our shoulders.  I jumped grabbed drank the rationed medicine and injected myself with painkillers as I ran towards the Bellato HQ portal to join the rest of our troops.  “All reinforcements, regroup at point 55,55.  We move as one,” I uttered to the whole race as I tried to keep focus.  I heard via comlink that the chip breaker died but no matter the cost we must win this.  A race does not deserve freedom if they are not willing to fight for it.

“Reinforcements push now!” the Bellato archon ordered as soon as I reached the regroup point.  To my surprise I only saw seven Bellato troops at the spot and as I saw the resolve in their eyes, I took a deep breath and roared, “All reinforcements, massive march towards the core now!  Sandwich our enemies!  Break them!”  In a sheer force of will, the remaining Bellato troops, battered and greatly outnumbered, pushed towards destiny.  The Bellato archon and the remaining Bellato troops pushed our enemies up core tunnels and as they stepped upon the broken remains of our enemies he was surprised that only a handful of troops stood firm outside the barricades by my side.  “Where is the rest of the reinforcements?” the Bellato archon asked and I smiled as I took a deep breathe, exhausted, “This is the reinforcement.”  I chuckled as I tried to steady my breathing.

And yet it was not yet over.  Black-ops agents reported that the Accretians were regrouping for one last massive ditch effort towards the core with one purpose: To kill the Halo Stone Keeper and deny us our victory.  “Rally the remaining troops.  We fight to the end,” I uttered under my breathe as I injected another painkiller into my right leg.  Here they come, I said to myself as I heard the enemy’s march down the core ramp.  “Hold the barricades!” I ordered as the remaining Bellato troops held their ground inside the tunnels.  And then in a last act of desperation from our enemies, they released a nuke at the core barricades.  We ordered the troops to stay firm and use defense runes.  And there was light… and then darkness.

“Regroup inside the core!” one of the Bellato racial councils ordered and the remaining Bellato soldiers stood rallied towards the core.  Kill any Accretian who reach the Halo Stone Keeper.  Those were our orders.  Another nuke of our enemy fell upon the halostone core and half of the remaining troops burned with the flash of light.  I was one of them.  I lie flat on the cold ground of the core and the light was fading.  “Nuke them,” I whispered via the comlink before adding, “Nuke them to kingdom come.”  And so it was done.  The core flashed and half of the Accretian army melted with the light.  “Nuke them again,” I ordered again and as soon as the next Bellato nuke fell into the core only a handful of Accretians ran around inside the core disoriented, confused.  “Kill all the remaining Accretians!” I heard the Bellato racial councils ordered as the light faded.

I gasped as a machinist released a jolt of current into my body to revive me.  I coughed and I asked her to help me sit and as my vision cleared, the Halo Stone Keeper stood inside the core.  The battle was won.  I opened my comlink to speak to the whole Bellato race.  “Raise high the black banners of vengeance Bellato Federation… for once more, it is our time!”
