A loud voice coming from a speaker echoed throughout the Bellato Federation Territory.

"Attention Draigh Ravenstrife of the Armored Unit Squardron! Eldon Carter wants to speak with you! Please report to the headquarters immediately!"

Surprised with the announcement, Draigh immediately paused from his MAU maintenance and swiftly went to the headquarters thinking why he’s was called. Upon arriving to the headquarters, he saw Eldon Carter talking to a woman who’s standing in his office. The woman’s back is facing Draigh which made him unable to recognize her identity. But from Draigh’s view, the woman has a gorgeous body and her hair is as white and as beautiful as snow. She’s dressed in a blue suit with stripes of white which Draigh immediately recognized as the Spring Series, a Bellato Ranger Suit. Draigh can only think of one person who has a close resemblance to the female Bellato ranger in his sight. "Could that be...Milly???" he asked himself.

As Draigh walks closer to the two, the face of the lady also started to reveal. His guess was correct... It was indeed Milly.

Milly White is currently the top Armor Rider of the Federation who joined the Armored Unit squad 2 years before Draigh did. She served as Draigh’s mentor and is one of the main reasons why Draigh has also emerged as one of the Federation’s best Armor Riders. Incidentally, the two developed a strong bond during their years of training and became best friends.

"Draigh Ravenstrife reporting in Sir!" said Draigh as he gathered himself and made a salute to Eldon Carter.

The old man flashed a smile and said "Ahh Draigh...I’ve heard so much about your piloting skills from the captain of the Amored Unit Squadron. It seems that your skill is already almost on par with Milly, who in my opinion is the best Armor Rider the Federation has ever had. Take a seat as I discuss the mission I have for both of you."

"A mission? And he’s only sending off two Armor Riders?" Draigh wondered.

Now showing a little bit of seriousness on his expression, Eldon Carter cleared his throat and began explaining the details of the mission. "Soldiers, I received a word from the Bellato Intergalactic Research Facility that they discovered an abandoned planet a few lightyears away from Novus. No life forms have been detected so far but it seems that this planet had a well developed civilization before."

The old man continued, "Your mission is to explore and investigate this planet for any technological information that may help the Federation with their current and future researches in preparation for the upcoming war."

"If all we have to do is to investigate this planet, then this mission will be a piece of cake! Right Milly?" Draigh jokingly responded. Somewhat pissed with Draigh’s remark, Milly seriously replied, "Draigh! You shouldn’t take any mission lightly be it an investigation or combat mission. That kind of attitude will only put your life and your partner’s life at risk!."

"C’mon Milly! I meant that as a joke!" Draigh replied with embarrassment.

"Hohoho...You two seem to get along pretty well huh? Well, it’s no surprise since both of you are partners and have been together in the same squad for quite some time already. Though I have to agree with Milly that we should treat the importance of all missions the same. Even if this is only an investigation mission, we can’t let our guard down as the other races may have found out about this planet as well. That is the reason why I chose the best Armor Riders of the Federation for this mission. There’s still a chance that you may run into some armies from the other races."

Carter continued, "Remember...Friendship, Camaraderie, Unity...those are the root of Bellato’s success. We may not be the strongest of the 3 races but our unity is what makes us a formidable force to reckon with. Instead of relying in strength, we rely in our number, unity and strategy in times of war. So when you encounter some enemies while investigating, do not engage in battle if you’re outnumbered." The mission briefing lasted for a few more minutes before Draigh and Milly were dismissed. Both of them walks silently as they leave the headquarters.

Uncomfortable with the mood, Milly spoke to break the silence. "Sorry if I raised my voice on you a while ago... It’s just that... I don’t want you to make that kind of jokes in front of Eldon Carter. I don’t want to give him the impression that all soldiers in our squad are not serious about missions."

"I’m the one who should apologize. I didn’t consider the situation when I made that joke. You of all people know how serious I am to be the best Armor Rider of the Federation...and that includes being better than you!" Draigh seriously responded.

Now with a brightened look on her face, Milly giggled and said, "You? Better than me? You’re still a few years early to say that! I do acknowledge that fact that you’re better than the other of the Armor Riders around but you still need to work your butt off some more if you want to beat me!."

"Yeah yeah, I know, I know! But don’t let your guard down as I want to beat you at your best when that time comes!" Draigh said with a big smile on his face.

After the talk, the two specialists parted ways to rest and prepare for tonight’s mission. While Draigh was preparing his stuff, he heard a familiar voice behind him. "Why were you called out to the headquarters?" asked by a black haired teenage girl who’s wearing a Bellato Training Force Suit. "Did Eldon Carter assigned you to a new mission, brother?" she asked again.

"Wy, you’re home early. How are things going in the Mystic Training Academy? Are you doing well with your Soul Chandra training?"

The girl’s name was Wyna, the younger sister of Draigh. She was a Mystic and was currently in training to become a Soul Chandra. She dreamt of becoming a Warrior when she was little but a tragic incident made her change her mind.

A few years ago, Draigh and Wyna’s parents, along with a few Bellato soldiers were heading back to the headquarters from the Crag Mines Field when the group were ambushed by Accretian Soldiers. Unfortunately, the only mystic in that group was their mother who is an Archmage. Due to the lack of support skills to heal and aid her comrades, the group lost and perished in the battle. After laying her eyes on the corpse of her parents and the soldiers who died in battle, Wyna realized the importance of a Soul Chandra which could have saved the fallen soldiers from their deaths.

"If their group only has a Soul Chandra to support them during the ambush, the result of the battle could have been the opposite..." Wyna whispered to herself. Since then, she signed up to be a Soul Chandra and vowed to do whatever it takes to protect her comrades and avoid for the same incident to ever happen again.

"Training is fine. We finished up early with the lecture so I went home to check on you. I’ll head back to the academy after this to train so I can graduate and become a Soul Chandra as soon as possible to I can help out the race. Anyways, who are you going with on this mission? Is Milly coming with you?" Wyna asked.

"Yeah, she’s coming with me. Only the two of us were assigned to this mission."

"Shouldn’t you guys take a Soul Chandra to support you in case you encounter the enemies?"

"Well, that would be much better. But I think the chances of enemy encounter is very slim which is why Eldon Carter didn’t assign a Soul Chandra to go with us. Whatever the case is, we just have to complete this mission as fast as we can because the more time we spend in that planet, the greater the chance of enemy encounter will be."

"Yeah that is true but please try to avoid a battle as much as possible when that happens. You and Milly watch each other’s back out there ok? I’ll head back to the academy now to continue with my training and show you the new skills I’ve learn when you get back. Goodluck on your mission and you guys take care ok? Say hi to Milly for me.”
